Item A crise do discipulado na Igreja contemporânea à luz da Grande Comissão(2025) Matheus Simões da SilvaThis study analyzes the crisis of discipleship in the contemporary Christian church in light of the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18–20, arguing that the numerical growth of churches has not been accompanied by effective disciple formation. Grounded in the biblical theology of mission, especially through the concepts of Missio Dei and the priesthood of all believers, this research demonstrates that the mission of the church has always been connected to the formation of a people who live for the glory of God and the transformation of the world. Through a qualitative, bibliographical, and hermeneutical methodology, the contributions of authors such as N. T. Wright, Michael Goheen, Timothy Keller, Graeme Goldsworthy, D. A. Carson, John Stott, and David Bosch were analyzed. The study also presents a sociological analysis of the Brazilian urban context, particularly in the city of Rio de Janeiro, highlighting the paradox between evangelical expansion and the persistence of violence, corruption, and social degradation. The conclusion affirms that the weakness of social transformation is directly related to the weakening of biblical discipleship, emphasizing the urgent need for a return to relational, intentional, and multiplying discipleship as the central mission of the church.Item A A DORAÇÃO A DEUS SOB UMA PERSPECTIVA BÍBLICA(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 2001) HERTZ SILVAItem A infiltração da nova era no cristianismo contemporâneo: desafios doutrinários e influências na Fé Cristã(2025) Laura Andrade Maciel AraújoThis article aims to examine the infiltration of New Age ideas and practices into contemporary Christianity and their impacts on faith and religious practice, identifying their historical roots, conceptual foundations, and doctrinal implications. Adopting a qualitative and bibliographic approach, the study engages in dialogue with both classical and contemporary scholars of Christian theology, including John Stott, Paul Heelas, Francis Schaeffer, and Wouter J. Hanegraaff. The findings indicate that the New Age movement, characterized by mystical foundations and religious syncretism, has influenced Christian discourse through the incorporation of esoteric concepts, astrology, positive thinking, consciousness expansion, inner balance, self-overcoming, and Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). These elements promote an anthropocentric and therapeutic form of spirituality that displaces Christ from the center of faith, weakens biblical doctrine, and diminishes the authority of Scripture. The study concludes that an adequate Christian response to this challenge requires renewed spiritual discernment, fidelity to sound doctrine, and a return to the absolute centrality of the Word of God as the sole infallible rule of faith and practice.Item A pneumatologia no evangelho de Lucas: a partir de Lucas capítulo 4.16-22(2025) Allan de Souza AvilaThis article aims to analyze chapter 4:16-22 of the Gospel of Luke and address the theme of pneumatology, observing its theological implications. The study will consider three sections in which the proposed theme will be analyzed. The first section will be analyzed starting from an introduction and historical context of the Gospel of Luke, introducing the reader to the historical knowledge of the book. The second section will offer a brief commentary and analysis of the text of Luke 4:16-22, considering the manifestation of the Spirit in the life of Jesus for the beginning of salvation. The third section will examine how the Spirit influences the entire book. Finally, we will see a practical application in contemporary reality regarding the person of the Holy Spirit.Item A relação do texto de Ap 4-5 com a Literatura Apocalíptica(2025) André da Silva NovaesThis article examines the relationship between Revelation 4–5 and apocalyptic literature, based on the hypothesis that these chapters engage in a dialogue with apocalyptic texts originating from Second Temple Judaism. The research adopts a qualitative approach of a descriptive, explanatory, and analytical nature, grounded in a specialized bibliographic review. It concludes that Revelation 4–5 exemplifies the incorporation and reinterpretation of the Jewish apocalyptic tradition, articulating a theology of praise, divine sovereignty, and the victory of the Lamb, and offering a message of hope and resistance to Christian communities at the end of the first century CE.Item A relação entre a Igreja e o estado: um estudo sobre a influência da política partidária na pureza da Igreja(2025) Thiago Gulão da Silva e Silva de MoraesThis article examines the relationship between the Church and the State, focusing on the influence of party politics on the purity and unity of the Church, with emphasis on the context of Baptist congregations. The study is based on the hypothesis that party politics, when introduced into the ecclesial environment, can stain the Church’s purity and weaken its unity. Methodologically, the research was developed through a bibliographical review, drawing on contributions from Reformers, contemporary theologians and Baptist thinkers on religious freedom, church–state separation and secularism. Additionally, field research was conducted with 79 members and leaders of Baptist churches in the state of Rio de Janeiro, using an electronic questionnaire to identify believers’ perceptions regarding the impact of political polarization within church life. The results indicate that most respondents perceive the presence of tensions, conflicts and internal distancing related to political positions, even though most churches do not formally endorse candidates or parties. The historical analysis revealed that the Baptist tradition, since its beginnings, has defended religious freedom and the distinction between the spheres of Church and State, understanding that the instrumentalization of faith for political projects compromises Christian witness. From a pastoral perspective, the study highlights the need to preserve the centrality of the gospel, avoid the use of the pulpit as an electoral platform, respect the freedom of conscience of church members, and promote unity as an expression of the Church’s vocation—while maintaining firm convictions and influencing all areas of human life, including politics. The study concludes that political polarization represents a concrete challenge to the Church’s purity and unity, demanding biblical discernment and pastoral prudence in its relationship with the State and the public sphere.Item UMA ABORDAGEM ATUAL DO EVANGELHO DA PROSPERIDADE(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1995) JOSÉ RIBAMAR MONTEIRO JÚNIORItem UMA ABORDAGEM CRISTÃ DO RELACIONAMENTO CONJUGAL À LUZ DA TEOLOGIA BÍBLICA(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1994) CARLA RODRIGUES SARDENGERH LOPES DE LIMAItem ABORTAMENTO: A PROPOSTA É INFORMAR(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1989) LÍDIA LEANDRO PINHEIROItem ABORTO DA NATUREZA, O...(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1990) ANTÔNIO JOSÉ BATISTA DIASItem ABORTO DIRETO-VOLUNTÁRIO NO BRASIL: ESTUDO COMPARATIVO ENTRE AS IDÉIAS FAVORÁVEIS E CONTRÁRIAS(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1985) VALDENIR GONÇALVES DE AGUIARItem ABORTO, UMA OPÇÃO OU CRIME PREMEDITADO?(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1987) CLODOALDO VIEIRA DO NASCIMENTOItem ABORTO: A ORDEM PARA MATAR(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1985) GÉRSON ELIAS FRANCOItem ABORTO: O QUE É ABORTO(Faculdade Batista / Seminário do Sul, 1988) MARCOS R.
