ORAÇÃO E MILAGRES: UMA ANÁLISE EM JOSUÉ 10:12-15

Abstract

The present article aims to reflect on aspects of faith and prayer based on the episode reported in Joshua 10:12–15, known as the long day, through a study of the nature and definition of prayer and the idea of the centrality of prayer for the Israelite people, as well as how divine intervention influenced this concept. We will also discuss the applicability of prayer for Christians today and how we ought to pray according to the teachings of Christ, applying them to a life devoted to prayer. Using strictly bibliographic sources, this article was developed with basic methodologies such as bibliographic research, literature review, dissertations, theses, and existing articles. Drawing from the accounts of authors such as Gordon Fee (2013), Sammy Tippit (2019), Richard S. Hess (1996), among others, the work was produced with the aim of generating a better understanding of God’s intervention and will in the Christian life..
