Abstract

This article investigates the resurrection through an exegesis of the text from the First Letter to the Corinthians. The study proposes the hypothesis that the early church held a literal understanding of the bodily resurrection, which generated hope amid chaos, and explores how the vision of the resurrection can produce hope in the face of the church’s current crises. Based on bibliographic sources, the thesis is structured in three sections: the first is dedicated to the exegesis of the biblical text; the second analyzes the perception of the resurrection among first-century Christians; and the third proposes to the contemporary church a hopeful vision in the midst of death and sorrow, grounded in the certainty of the resurrection. The research seeks to enrich the theological and practical understanding of this topic, which remains controversial and raises important questions about the future of the church.
